Canada | How do I resolve the ROE error: "R1000316 - Invalid character(s)"

This error relates to special characters being used in information that will reflect on the ROE. Characters such as letters with accents (é, è, ö, etc.) and most Greek characters are considered special characters and cannot be entered into Service Canada's database due to technical limitations.

Navigate > Interface Portal > Government Hub > Submitted Events > View Status > Messages

This can relate to special characters used in the employee's name or the position the employee is linked to. The ROE can be generated and reviewed to ensure all special characters are replaced accordingly.

Navigate > Reports > Reports > NextGen > Legislative > Record of Employment

Navigate > Config > Human Resources > Organization Structure > Position Management 

Please ensure there are no blank spaces before or after information captured.
