Ghana: SSNIT increase in minimum contribution rate

Effective January 1st, 2022, Ghana increased its daily minimum wage to GHS 13.53 per day, as announced by the National Tripartite Committee.

This change affects the minimum amount on which the minimum Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) contribution shall be determined.
 

NOTE: The new minimum wage for 2022 as announced by the Government of Ghana is GHS 13.53. As a result, the new minimum contribution amount to SSNIT Tier 1 is now GHS 49.32.
