Angola | Social Security (INSS) Contribution Rate Increase
Recent newspaper reports have suggested that the INSS contribution rate may increase from 11% to 15%, with the employee contribution rising from 3% to 5% and the employer contribution from 8% to 10%, effective 1 July 2025.
However, the National Institute of Social Security has confirmed that this increase is not yet in force. Employers must therefore continue to apply the current contribution rates, 8% for employers and 3% for employees, in accordance with Decree No. 227/18, which remains applicable.
We will continue to monitor any developments and provide further communication as soon as an update becomes available.
