Egypt | Social Security Limit Increase effective 1 January 2026
The Social Insurance and Pension Law no. 148 of 2019 and its Executive Regulations No. 2437 of 2021 mandates a 15% increase in the minimum and maximum subscription wage limits used to calculate social security contributions. This increase is effective 1 January every year for a period of seven years, starting from 1 January 2021.
Effective 1 January 2026, the monthly subscription wage limits will be amended as follows:
- The minimum limit will increase from EGP 2,300 to EGP 2,700, and
- The maximum limit will increase from EGP 14,500 to EGP 16,700.
