Egypt | Increase in Social Security Limits effective 1 January 2025
The Social Insurance and Pension Law No. 148 of 2019 and its Executive Regulations No. 2437 of 2021 mandate a 15% increase in the minimum and maximum salary limits on which social security contributions are calculated. This increase is effective on January 1st every year for a period of seven years starting from January 1st, 2021.
For the 2025 tax year, the monthly minimum and maximum limits are as follows:
- Minimum limit: EGP 2,300
- Maximum limit: EGP 14,500
