Why am I receiving a leave error: "The application cannot be saved as the leave balance is less than the allowed minimum"? when there are multiple annual leave buckets?
This feature is available on all PaySpace editions.
When submitting a leave application, a user may receive the error message: "The application cannot be saved as the leave balance is less than the allowed minimum" in the following scenario:
If a user applies for 5 days leave and there are multiple buckets setup for the leave scheme, the leave application will be
validated by the rules of each leave bucket based on the below advanced option.
Navigate > Config > Human Resources > Leave Parameters > Leave Scheme Parameters > advanced options
Bucket Order 1 | Carry Over | Negative Balance: Blank
Bucket Order 2 | Annual Leave | Negative Balance: -3
Bucket Order 3 | Annual Leave Additional | Negative Balance: 0
As per the above setup, bucket order 3 restricts
the user's balance from going into a negative which results in the user receiving the error message.
