Senegal | Maternity and Annual Leave Suspension Guide
An employee’s employment contract may be suspended, as specified under the Labour Law.
Maternity and Annual Leave Payments
- Annual Leave: Employers must pay an allowance equal to the worker’s regular salary before the leave begins. If the leave is deferred, payment must be made in line with Article L.153 of the Labour Law.
- Maternity Leave: Female employees on maternity leave are entitled to receive an allowance from the Social Security Fund throughout the duration of the leave.
