How do I place an employee on maternity leave?

This feature is available on all Deel Local Payroll powered by payspace editions
An employee can be placed on maternity leave by creating a record on the Suspension screen and selecting "Maternity/Adoption" as the suspension reason.
Navigate > Employee > On / Off Boarding > Suspension
Step 1: Select the + Suspension button.
Step 2: Fill in the details relating to the suspension and select to "Save".

Important Comment
According to the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, an employee will still accumulate annual leave days during maternity leave.
