How to use the second additional date to govern long service leave and forfeiture date

Using the Second Additional Date for Long Service Leave and Forfeiture

The system allows you to configure an additional date that can be used to govern leave start dates, long service leave, and forfeiture rules.

Step 1: Configure the Additional Date

Navigate to Config > General Settings.

Add a new Additional Date option.

Step 2: Update Leave Settings

Go to Config > Human Resources > Leave Settings > Leave Calculations.

Enable the checkbox:
Use the second additional date to govern long service leave and forfeiture date.

Step 3: Impact on Employee Records

Once activated, the Leave forfeiture process will use the additional date recorded on each employee’s Tax Profile screen.

✅ Result: Your system will now calculate long service leave and forfeiture based on the second additional date configured per employee.

Primary Rules:

If the Additional Date is completed on the employee’s Tax Profile screen, it will take precedence and be used to determine leave forfeiture.

If the Additional Date is left blank, the system will default to the employee’s Group Joined Date.

Important Note:

If the leave parameter is configured as Employment Date, the system will use the Employment Date for forfeiture—even if the Tax Profile screen includes an Additional Date.
