Why are future dated leave applications reducing the current period's leave balance?
This feature is available on all Deel Local Payroll powered by payspace payroll editions
Future dated leave applications will reduce the current leave period's leave balance when the "Force employee's leave balance to reduce in current period rather than start date period" checkbox under the Leave Calculation section on the Leave Settings screen is enabled.
Navigate > Configuration > Human Resources > Leave Administration > Leave Settings > Leave Calculations
Important
The number of future dated leave applications submitted within one period can result in a negative leave balance.
