Uganda - update on Proposed tax amendment bill 2023
With reference to the proposed amendment to section 19(h) of the Income tax Act to exclude any gain from the disposal of a right or option to acquire shares under an employee share acquisition scheme from employment income, it must be noted that this amendment has been removed from the 2023/24 tax amendments.
Once the Bill assents, we will provide further information on items affecting payroll.
