Tanzania | Finance Act 2025 – Effective 1 July 2025
On 25 June 2025, the Tanzanian Parliament passed the Finance Bill 2025. Following the President’s assent, it was published as the Finance Act 2025 on 30 June and came into effect on 1 July 2025.
The Act sets out several significant changes to tax, duty, and levy legislation. These reforms are expected to influence Tanzania’s business and investment landscape from 2025 to 2028.
No Changes to Payroll
There are no changes to payroll regulations for the 2025 tax year. All current payroll rules will remain in effect.
