Nigeria: Extension of Deadline for filing employer annual tax returns (Lagos State)
The statutory deadline for filing the annual employer tax return is 31
January 2024 however, the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has
extended the deadline for filing employers' annual tax returns to 7 February
2024.
The extension is a response to the recent downtime experienced on the
online filing platform (e-tax portal).
Employers facing challenges with the e-tax portal must contact
designated LIRS officers promptly to resolve the issues experienced and submit
their annual tax returns within the extended deadline.
