Leave / Vacation Plan Parameters

The Leave/Vacation Plan Parameters are important for configuring how vacation and other types of leaves will be managed in a company's system. These parameters define the rules and policies that govern the accrual, granting, and payment of vacation.

 

Company Setup > Human Resources > Leave/Vacation Administration > Leave/Vacation Plan Parameters

1. Leave Scheme:

  • Description: Choose the license scheme to which the settings apply. These schemes may include types such as CLT Vacation, Recess, or others that are already defined in the system.

  • Field: A drop-down menu to select the appropriate license scheme.

2. Effective Date (Data Efetiva):

  • Description: The date on which the license rules or scheme take effect. This is important to define from when the new leave or vacation policies will come into effect.

  • Example: The date on your screen is October 24, 2024.

3. Leave Type:

  • Description: The type of license associated with the schema. It can include licenses such as:

    • Annual Leave.

    • Sick Leave.

    • Family Responsibility Leave.

    • Special Leave.

  • Field: Drop-down menu to select the type of license.

4. Leave Description:

  • Description: A field to detail the specific description of the license. It may include information about who is entitled to that license, conditions, and how it is enforced.

  • Example: "Vacation Acquisition Period", "Vacation Concession Period", "Intern Recess", etc.

5. Stipulate the Order in Which Leave is Taken for This Leave Type (Ordem na qual a licença é tirada):

  • Description: Defines the order in which different license types should be used. This can be useful, for example, to determine that annual leave should be used before other leaves.

  • Field: Area to enter or select the priority order of the license.

6. Apply Leave Entitlement According to This Band Type:

  • Description: Defines how the license entitlement is enforced, based on different criteria. Options may include:

    • Length of Service: Leave is granted based on length of service.

    • Grade Bands: The right to leave depends on the employee's level or position.

    • Employee Defined: Flexible, where the employee can define.

  • Field: Select the eligibility rule for the leave type.

7. This Leave Type Accrues At:

  • Description: Defines whether the license is cumulative and how often it is accrued. This allows you to specify when the license entitlement is acquired.

  • Options:

    • Accumulative

    • Non-Accumulative

  • Field: Specify whether the leave is cumulative and set the frequency (per month, per year, etc.).

8. Submit Advanced Options:

  • Description: May contain additional configurations, depending on the needs of the company, such as special rules for granting licenses.


History:

Below these fields is a list of license schemes and license types that are already configured in the system. Some examples shown in the history include:

  • Self-employed persons with a Special license: "Self-employed (No Vacation)".

  • CLT vacation with Annual-type leave: "Vacation Concession Period".

  • CLT vacation with Special type leave: "Vacation Accrual Period".

  • Special type leave recess: "Trainee Recess".

  • Standard Leave with Annual Leave: "Annual Leave".

  • Standard Leave with Sick license: "Sick Leave".

  • Standard Leave com licença do tipo Family Responsibility: "Family Responsibility Leave".

These schemes show different types of leaves configured for various situations, including CLT vacations, special intern leaves, and other mandatory leaves. The Edit button allows you to modify an existing schema, while the Delete button is for deleting it.

These settings allow you to customize the license system to meet company policies and practices.
