Creating a Mock Payslip

About

The mock payslip enables you to calculate an employee’s net salary without having to do a manual calculation or add the employee to the payroll.  All the parameters that can affect the tax calculation has been included on the Create A Mock Payslip Screen.

Prospective Candidates
This functionality can only be used for prospective candidates the company may want to extend an offer to.  

Edition

This feature is available on all PaySpace editions.

Navigate > On/Off Boarding > Create A Mock Payslip

On the Advanced Mock Payslip Screen capture the required details and then click on Continue>>.


To Add the Recurring Payroll component select the Add New option next to the payslip action and proceed to add the relevant recurring components and then click on Calculate and View Payslip.


Note! The components need to be setup on Company level first before they can be added to the Mock Payslip Screen.

Note! If there is no tax calculating on the Mock Payslip, please ensure that the employees engagement date is captured, within the current open run and is not a future dated date to ensure that tax calculate on the mock payslip.

Important Comments

Considerations when Creating a Mock Payslip
  1. The payroll will apply the tax calculator of the current Open Run.
  2. Always use the start date of the current Open Run as the engagement date to ensure the basic pay is not prorated.
