The preferred method of exempting employees from the NSSA contributions is via the custom exemption field on an employee's Basic Profile screen (Employee > Basic Information > Basic Profile > Heading: Employee > Subheading: Exemptions and Other). This can also be done via Bulk Actions.

The alternative way of exempting employee from NSSA contributions is via the NSSA Exemption note component. This component is only available in local entities.
