Zimbabwe | Budget 2026

The Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion (MoFEDIP) has presented the 2026 National Budget to the Parliament of Zimbabwe on 27 November 2025. Following a review of the budget, there are no payroll-related changes proposed

Some of the proposed tax amendments are as follows:

  • Increasing the VAT rate from 15% to 15.5%.
  • Reviewing the royalty structure for all gold producers.
  • Introducing withholding tax on VAT for imported digital services, which will be applied on payments made to offshore digital platforms.
  • Removal of customs duty on selected imported raw materials such as steel coils and plates.
  • Reduction of the money transfer tax from 2% to 1.5% and designating the tax as a deductible expense.
