Why is the Basic Pay amount on the Edit Payslip screen different from Payroll Reports?

The discrepancy in the Basic Pay component amount on the Edit Payslip screen compared to the payroll reports is likely due to adjustments made on the Edit Payslip screen after a costing upload via the Bulk Actions screen.
When hours or days are uploaded via the Bulk Actions screen, any changes should be made directly on the Bulk Actions screen and not on the Edit Payslip screen. Editing values on the Edit Payslip screen after a Bulk Actions upload can cause discrepancies in the values uploaded.
If corrections are necessary, follow these steps:
- Make changes or remove entries on the Bulk Actions screen.
- If financial corrections are required for a closed period, create an interim run linked to the previous closed run. It is not advisable to open closed Mainruns with financials finalised.
