Why is an employee's valid email address reflecting as "invalid" on their Basic Profile screen?

The system has been enhanced with a visual validation mechanism that displays the validity of an email address inserted on the Basic Information screen.

      Navigate > Employee > Basic Information > Basic Profile > Contact Details

      

The system will run the validation process each evening, which will classify an employee's email address under one of the below states:

  1. Not yet validated (This status will be for a newly inserted or edited email address which have not run through the nightly batch for validation as yet).
  2. Valid (This status will show that the nightly batch has run through successfully and the email address has passed validity).
  3. Invalid (This status will show when the nightly batch has been run, however the email address inserted failed validation).
If an employee's email address is flagged as "invalid", reinitiate the validation process, and if it fails for the second time contact uksupport@payspace.com for further assistance.

Important!
  1. If an email address is pending validation, the system will still send emails until such time as it's validated. This validation has no relation to the sign in process (even single sign on (SSO)) and will always work regardless of status.
  2. Employees can register and initiate password resets if their email is still pending validation.
  3. If an email address is marked as "Invalid", only then will the system not send emails, but they will still be able to login at all times.
