Why does the balance on an employee's Leave Balance drill down screen not match with that displayed on the Leave Balance Breakdown window?
The leave balance discrepancy is a result of the Leave Balance Breakdown window which does not consider forfeited leave by system design. Therefore, values that show on the Leave Balance Breakdown window itself are different to the actual Leave Balances, in a period where forfeiture takes place.
The Leave Balance Breakdown window does not consider forfeiture rules due to the complexity of the structure of forfeiture calculation. The window does not always reflect the correct balances and thus the values on Leave Balance screen are always correct.
When manually calculating an employee's leave balance ensure to include leave forfeitures to balance back to the values displayed on the Leave Balance screen.
