Why do employees receive an "Access denied | You have invalid security permissions to access the selected functionality" error when submitting a claim?

Employees will receive the below error if the ESS security role's permissions deny access to the Claims screen.

      

Edit the ESS security role's permissions to give access to the Claims screen.\

      Navigate > Configuration > Security > Security > Security Roles >  add/edit/view permissions

Select the "Employee" Menu Branch and give fill access to the Claims screen and the Claims widget and save your changes.
