Why can't I update the Employee Number field on the Basic Profile screen?

This feature is available on all Deel Local Payroll powered by payspace payroll editions

The "Employee Number" field on the Basic Profile screen cannot be updated, if the "Automatically Generate Employee Numbers" option is enabled on the General Details tab Basic Company Information screen. Disable the checkbox, in order to update the field.

      Navigate > Config > Basic Settings > Company Settings > Basic Company Information > General
