Why are certain company level users unable to edit employees' current information on their profile?

The "edit historical records" user profile setting can be enabled so that company level users can have access to update history so that is can be managed accordingly.

By enabling this setting, will allow the applicable user to update historical records for screens such as the Position, Pay Rate Details, Suspension, Dependents and Projects employee screens.

      Navigate > Configuration > Security > Security > User Profiles > Other

      

Important! Log out and back into the system for the setting to take effect.
