Why am I receiving a leave error: "The application cannot be saved as the leave balance is less than the allowed minimum"? when the leave bucket has been configured to go into a negative?
This feature is available on all PaySpace editions.
When submitting a Leave Application, a user may receive the error message: "The application cannot be saved as the leave balance is less than the allowed minimum" in the following scenarios.
Scenario 1: The User has submitted several Leave Applications with days that are consecutive of the period applied for.
The system does not validate the Start and End Period of the Applications above. It would be advisable to rather create one Leave Application with the above dates consolidated into the one Application.
Scenario 2: When applications are submitted through the Bulk Actions screen, the system cannot validate all leave data at once. This is because users can upload leave applications without specifying the number of days.
Scenario 3: When an employee submits a Leave Application and the number of days exceeds the Projected Leave Balance.
Scenario 4: The error will display if the employee has pending Leave Applications in the Waiting status. The system will reserve these leave days until the Leave Application is actioned. Pending Leave Applications have an impact on the Projected Leave Balance.
