When should I select "per Month" versus "Upfront" when defining yearly leave accrual rules?

The choice between "per Month" and "Upfront" annual leave accrual rules depends on the company's leave policy and how they prefer to manage leave balances.
      Navigate > Configuration > Human Resources > Leave Administration > Leave Scheme Parameters

      

Per MonthChoose this option from the dropdown list, if leave has to be accrued evenly each month. This is ideal for tracking leave balance consistently and ensuring employees earn leave gradually throughout the year. For example, if an employee is entitled to 6 days of leave per year, they will accrue 0.5 days of leave each month.

      

Upfront - Select this option from the dropdown list, if employees are to be provided with their full annual leave entitlement at the start of the leave cycle. This approach is beneficial for giving employees immediate access to their leave days and can simplify leave planning at the beginning of the year.
