What system configurations have to be set up before employees can register for ESS?

This feature is available on all editions.
Before employees can register for Employee Self Service (ESS), ensure that the following company level configurations are set up. All employee must have:
- an active email address in the "Email Address" field, under the Contact Details section of the Basic Profile screen.
- If an employee has a new email address uploaded on the system, they have to reregister for ESS to access the system
Navigate > Employee > Basic Information > Basic Profile > Contact Details
- a directly reports to person assigned on their Position screen.
- The employee assigned as the directly reports to person (manager), which will ensure that the default workflow path for leave applications functions correctly.
Navigate > Employee > Basic Information > Position > Reporting Line
Employees can then
navigate to www.payspace.com, click on ESS Registration and follow the prompts.
