What is the difference between the cutoff date and the pay date on the Payslip Pay Dates screen?

This feature is available on all PaySpace editions.

The cut-off date applies to companies using workflow paths for claims and leave. The user must specify the cut-off date for each pay run on the Company Payslip Pay Dates Screen. If the next pay period is not yet an open run, employees will be unable to submit a claim or leave application after the cut-off date. If the pay run is open, the claim will be automatically assigned to that pay period. If the user does not specify a cut-off date, employees will be able to submit claims up until the pay date specified on the Company Payslip Pay Dates Screen.

      Navigate > Payroll Cycle > Payslip Pay Dates

      

The pay date is the date the pay run will close. All scheduled reports and payslips will be sent out on this date.
