What are run errors and how do they affect the payroll?

This feature is available on all PaySpace editions.

Run errors can appear after processing payroll and the values posted result in discrepancies on the Payslip or on the YTD Drilldown not balancing to the sum of current values.

Run errors may vary and a payroll run cannot be closed unless the error/s are resolved.

Examples of run errors

- Negative net pay on payslip - user adjustment advised 

- Tax code "XXXX" YTD cannot be less than 0

- There has been a Technical Error for this payslip

 - YTD Figure (XXXX) do not balance to the sum of currents (XXXX)

Run errors are conditions that need to be resolved before a run can be closed (automatically or manually), for example a payslip record displaying a negative net pay.

Run errors are displayed per frequency, click on the red icon with an exclamation mark on the top right corner of the title bar to check the run errors accordingly.
