Uganda: Income Tax(Amendments) Act, 2023 signed into Law
The president of Uganda, has signed the Income Tax (Amendment) Act, 2023.
The amendments will apply from 1 July 2023. Below is a summary of the amendment affecting employment income.
Section 21 (exempt income) of the Principal Act amended, whereby employment income earned by a prosecutor in the office of the director of public prosecution will be exempt from income tax.
