Tunisia's Decree no 67 of 2026, dated 30 April 2026 and published in the الرّائد الرّسميّ للجمهوريّة التونسيّة (Journal Officiel de la République Tunisienne), sets phased increases to the Salaire Minimum Interprofessionnel Garanti (SMIG) for non-agricultural labour sectors, effective 1 January 2026.
🔎 What is changing
2026 minimum wage increase
- From 1 January 2026, the monthly base salary for employees increases as follows:
- 554.736 TND for the 48-hour regime, from 528.320 TND.
- 470.251 TND for the 40-hour regime, from 448.238 TND.
- From 1 January 2026, the hourly base salary for employees increases as follows:
- 2.667 TND for the 48-hour regime, from 2.540 TND.
- 2.713 TND for the 40-hour regime, from 2.586 TND.
2027 minimum wage increase
- From 1 January 2027, the monthly base salary for employees increases as follows:
- 582.400 TND for the 48-hour regime.
- 493.304 TND for the 40-hour regime.
- From 1 January 2027, the hourly base salary for employees increases as follows:
- 2.800 TND for the 48-hour regime.
- 2.846 TND for the 40-hour regime.
2028 minimum wage increase
- From 1 January 2028, the monthly base salary for employees increases as follows:
- 611.520 TND for the 48-hour regime.
- 517.571 TND for the 40-hour regime.
- From 1 January 2028, the hourly base salary for employees increases as follows:
- 2.940 TND for the 48-hour regime.
- 2.986 TND for the 40-hour regime.
CAVIS Calculation Limit
- From 1 January 2026, the CAVIS limit used for social security calculations increases to 3,200.400 TND based on the updated SMIG thresholds.
