Tanzania: Finance Act, 2022
On the 28th of June 2022, the National Assembly of the United Republic of Tanzania passed the Finance Bill, 2022. The Bill was assented by the President, honorable Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania on the 30th of June 2022. Effectively making it the Finance Act, 2022. This Act shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 2022.
AMENDMENT OF THE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING ACT, CAP82:
The contribution rate remains unchanged.
Payments made to intern students from higher learning institutions or technical and vocational education and training institutions who are under the Tanzania Employment Service Agency program are exempt from the Skills Levy.
THE WORKERS COMPENSATION FUND ACT, CAP 263:
No changes.
EMPLOYMENT INCOME:
No changes to the tax tables.
