NextGen or Classic

The Classic Version is the name given to the previous look and feel of the system. Important to note, both NextGen and Classic point to the same database. No data migration is therefore applicable. 

This article covers the Employee Self Service Portal for the Classic version of the system.

How to Set-up Your Employee Self Service Portal

Before an employee can access ESS, you need to capture an active e-mail address on the Employee Basic Profile Screen. Remember to link the employee to a directly reports to person, on the Employee Position Screen. This will ensure that the default workflow path for leave applications functions correctly.

By default the employee will have access to the following screens:
