South Africa | Why Are Changes Made On The Take On Screen Not Reflecting On The Drill Down

When the effective date of the first Payrate details record falls outside the month of the Take On run, any modifications made on the Take On screen will not be reflected on the Tax Certificate or the Historical Drilldown screen.

To clarify:

1. The effective date for a Payrate detail record indicates when that specific pay rate becomes applicable. If this date is in a month after the Take On run, any changes you make during the Take On process will be ignored, as they pertain to a different timeframe.

2. Tax Certificates are generated based on the pay data for a specific period. If changes made on the Take On screen do not align with the effective dates, the system will not include these changes in the final tax documentation, potentially resulting in discrepancies in reported earnings and tax calculations.

E.g Take On run is in September and Payrate details Effective is in October.

With the above setup any changes made on the Take on run will not pull through to the Drilldown.

See below:
An amount for leave pay has been deleted on the Take On screen however, it still pulls through to the Drilldown screen:

For the data to pull through to the drilldown screen, the effective date must be within the month of the Take on run and changes made on the Take On Screen will be effected accordingly on the Drilldown screen.

Always verify the effective dates of your Payrate records before making adjustments on the Take On screen to ensure they align with the period you are processing.
