South Africa: Transfers using Statutory override for COIDA reporting

Employee Transfers

Employees can be transferred between different frequencies in the same company and between different companies in the same company group.

Navigate to the employee > On / Off Boarding > Transfer

      

When an employee is transferred between frequencies, the system will automatically add the “_1TR” suffix to the employee number of the terminated record.

When to activate the ‘terminated for statutory reporting’ checkbox field?

      

If transferring between frequencies with different COIDA reference numbers:

• This field should be ticked.
• The employee records will be split and will be counted separately.

If transferring between frequencies with the same COIDA reference number:

• This field should not be ticked.
• The employee records will be consolidated and will be counted as 1.

If the employee's ‘Director’ status is different on the employee records, then the field should be ticked and the ‘Director for COIDA’ custom field on the employee's Basic Profile, should be confirmed.

If transferring between companies, the field does not get considered, as COIDA reports cannot be generated for a group of companies.​
