South Africa | Reminder - Interim Employer Reconciliation (EMP501) Submissions

Submissions for the Interim Employer Reconciliation (EMP501) will open on 22 September 2025 and close on 31 October 2025.

All employers in both the private and public sectors are required to reconcile their declarations for the first six months of the tax year (1 March to 31 August) and submit their Employer Reconciliation Declarations via eFiling or e@syFile™ Employer.

Please note:

  • SARS is yet to release the updated e@syFile™ software for the 2025 interim period. 
  • Ensure all payroll data for the period is complete and accurate to avoid any delays once the updated software becomes available.

We will communicate again as soon as the new e@syFile™ version is released by SARS.
