Yes, if an employee contributes towards a private medical scheme and supplies proof, the employee may receive the medical scheme fees tax credit through the payroll. The Medical Aid Personal component can be used in such scenarios.
If not processed on the payroll, the medical tax credits will be considered when the employee submits their annual personal income tax return.
Note: review the employee's Dependent Screen (Employee > Basic Information > Dependents) and add any necessary medical aid dependents which need to be considered for the medical aid credit.
