Nigeria – President signs New Tax Reforms into Law

On 26 June 2025, President Bola Tinubu signed into law four significant tax reform bills passed by the National Assembly:

  1. The Nigeria Tax Act
  2. The Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Act
  3. The Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Act
  4. The Nigeria Tax Administration Act.
The President stated that the new laws will come into effect on 1 January 2026.
