Nigeria: National Minimum Wage 2024 Update

The President of Nigeria has approved and signed the National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act 2024. However, there are ongoing discussions regarding:
  1. The effective date for the new minimum wage.
  2. Challenges related to financial constraints and the need for further planning on implementation.
  3. The inability of some Nigerian governors to pay the new minimum wage without additional financial support.
We have not yet updated our system to reflect the new national minimum wage. We will make the necessary changes once we have more information about the implementation details and effective date.
