NextGen | Suspending an Employee

About

When an employee goes on maternity leave or needs to take a leave of absence, you can suspend the employee.  Suspensions are processed on the Suspension Screen.

NextGen or Classic

The Classic version is the name given to the previous look and feel of the system. Important to note, both NextGen and Classic point to the same database. No data migration is therefore applicable.

Ensure that the correct employee is selected.

Suspending an Employee

Select + Add Suspension to start the action of adding a suspension record.

Important Comments

Tips
  1. Once the suspension has been saved, the system will automatically calculate the employee’s pay based on the details specified.
  2. Should the employee be suspended in the middle of the month, the system will prorate the income considering the percentage specified.
  3. You will be able to download the UI-19 form the Suspension Screen.
The Employee Suspension Report
To extract a listing of all suspended employees as of a specified date, print the Employee Suspension Report.  This report is available from the Reports Screen, Category Heading: HR.
