This article clarifies how you can expand on selections made on the Bulk Actions Screen, by adding conditions or groups on the Filter Builder Screen.

This feature is available on all PaySpace editions.

Navigate > Bulk Actions


Existing data can be filtered by applying selections to the column headings on the Bulk Actions Screen.  The column headings will change based on the Action Type selected.

Once selections have been applied on the Bulk Actions Screen, the selections will display next to the Filter Icon.

The Filter Builder Screen can be used to review or expand on selections already made by adding conditions or groups.

Example: A Single Condition

The employees have been filtered based on the Action Type that have been selected which is the Position Detail screen and a single condition to check whether they are actors has been applied.

The Company Level User clicks on the Filter Icon to access the Filter Builder Screen.

The Bulk Actions screen then filters the employees by the position type as per the single condition filter selection that was made



Example: Adding a second Condition

Following the previous example, the Company Level User wants to filter Actors who reside in the Western Cape.  

To add a Condition, access the Filter Builder screen by selecting the Filter icon and select the + icon to add a condition.


Select the option to Add Condition from the dropdown menu


Add the second condition:


Upon saving, all employees’ records for Actors who reside in the Western Cape, are returned on the Bulk Actions Screen.


Tip
Alternatively, the Company Level User could have selected the Region/Location from the Bulk Actions Screen.

Example: Adding a Group

Following the previous example, the Company Level User wants to filter Actors who reside in Gauteng (South) and Crew who reside in the Western Cape.

Select the + Option and select the add group option from the drop down Menu to add the second group, once the groups have been added, the Filter Builder Screen displays as follows:

Once the add Group option is selected the screen will have a second and option


Then proceed to select to + sign again to add the conditions for the second group.


Upon saving, the relevant employees’ records are returned on the Bulk Actions screen:
