How is ETI Remuneration calculated?
An employee's ETI Remuneration includes the cash remuneration that was paid to the employee as defined in Paragraph 1 of the Fourth Schedule to the Income Tax Act.
The ETI Remuneration is calculated using the following formula:
ETI Remuneration (Note component) = ETI Remuneration - Deductions disregarded in section 34(1) (b)
The tax codes that will be included in calculating the ETI Remuneration is as follows: 3601, 3605, 3606, 3607, 3608, 3613. The taxable portion of tax code 3701, 3708, 3713, 3719, 3720, 3721, 3901, 3906, 3907.
