How is overtime calculated on PaySpace?
This feature is available on all PaySpace editions.
Overtime on PaySpace is calculated according to the formula displayed on the overtime component shown on the Payroll Components screen.
Navigate > Configuration > Payroll > Payroll Config > Payroll Components
If no income base has been set up the system will use the employee's package amount as specified on the employee's Pay Rate Details screen as the System Default Income base, the above formula will then be used to calculate the Overtime component.
Navigate > Employee > Payroll Processing > Pay Rate Details
The system predefined factor is the factor which indicates overtime at double time, overtime at 1.5 or whichever overtime rate applies and have been set up.
The overtime calculations breakdown can also be viewed on the employees Edit Payslip screen.
Navigate > Employee > Payroll Processing > Edit Payslip > Other Actions > Calculation Breakdown
