How does the Manager Self Service (MSS) security role work?

This feature is available on the Premier and Master editions.

If an employee is listed as a Directly reports to person, they will automatically receive the access specified in the MSS Security Role, provided they are registered for ESS. The Directly reports to person is listed on the employee's Position screen.

Navigate > Employee > Basic Information > Position > Reporting Line

Navigate > Config > Security > Security > Security Roles

When the Directly reports to person logs into ESS, they can access their subordinates via Team Access.

The directly reports to person will have access to the subordinate screens as defined under the "Employee" menu branch in the MSS security role.
