How do I terminate an employee?

An employee can be terminated by selecting the Terminate menu option which opens the Tax Profile screen. 

      Navigate > Employee > On / Off Boarding > Terminate > Tax Profile > Employment 


      

Once the "Terminate employee" checkbox is selected, a new section: Termination will appear with the necessary fields to complete the process.

Important
  1. An employee cannot be terminated if the termination date falls within the previous tax year. Terminate the employee at the beginning of the new tax year. Ensure that the employee has no financial data for the new tax year, and reach out to support@payspace.com to correct the termination date.
  2. When terminating an employee on the Tax Profile screen, an on-screen pop-up will notify the user if the employee has pending or approved leave transactions dated on or after the selected termination date. This notification applies only to terminations processed via the Tax Profile screen and not through the Bulk Actions screen.
