How do I resolve the run error: "Income base required for component"?

The run error "Income base required for component" will display when the income base for the referenced component has not been configured. Components that contain income base options need to be completed in order to avoid the error below, as well as for the component to calculate as expected.

      

      Navigate > Configuration > Payroll > Payroll Config > Payroll Components

Step 1: Edit the affected component and select the "click here to add company income base to this component" link.

      

Step 2: Define the income base on the "Define The Income" window and select "add income base".

      

Step 3: Select to update the component on the Payroll Components screen and the error should clear.
