How do I prevent the system from capturing duplicate ID numbers when onboarding new employees?
This applies to all PaySpace editions.
To prevent the system from recording duplicate ID numbers during the onboarding process, enable the "Check for duplicate ID Number when engaging a new employee" checkbox under the Employee Settings section on the General Settings screen.
Navigate > Configuration > Basic Settings > Company Settings > General Settings > Employee Settings
Note! The system will display an error message when creating a new employee record if the ID number is duplicated.
By default, when adding a new employee, the system will display a warning message if the ID number already exists on another employee within the group of companies. The warning will show the employee name, frequency and company name that the duplicate belongs to. Users will still be able to continue adding the new employee if they choose to.
