How do I configure a leave type to accrue a fixed amount of days for a specified period from one's employment date?

This feature is available on all PaySpace editions

Enable the "activate prorate options" checkbox and specify the proration rules in the accrual section of the leave type(s) on the Leave Scheme Parameters screen.

      Navigate > Config > Human Resources > Leave Administration > Leave Scheme Parameters

      

The above setup will allow newly onboarded employees to accrue one day of leave for their first six months of employment, with the remaining balance granted thereafter.

Important
Should the "activate prorate options" checkbox be enabled after the employee has accrued the full leave days, the system will continue to prorate the accrual over and above the leave days that have already been granted.
