Can I process the Basic Pay in the Package Field on the employee’s Pay Rates Screen?
Yes. In this case it is important to never select any components as In Package.
If the In Package Field is selected on the Recurring Components Screen, the Package amount will be decreased with the recurring component’s amount on the Payslip Edit Screen to calculate the Basic Pay.
