Cameroon | Finance Law 2025

On the 23rd of December 2024, the President of Cameroon signed Law No. 2024/013, enacting the Finance Law for the 2025 financial year.

While the law introduces several amendments to the General Tax Code, it does not make changes to the following taxes impacting payroll:

  • Personal Income Tax (IRPP)
  • Local Development Tax (LDT)
  • Crédit Foncier du Cameroun (CFC)
  • Employment Fund Tax (FNE)
  • Audiovisual Communication Tax (CRTV/RAV)

The key amendment include the new compliance requirement for non-professional taxpayers who earn income from salaries, wages, pensions, life annuities, capital income, movable or real estate income, and other passive income. These taxpayers must submit an annual summary of their income to the tax center corresponding to their place of residence, in accordance with the deadlines stipulated under Article 74 bis. Entities or individuals paying income to non-professional taxpayers must provide the recipients with a detailed summary statement by 15 March of each year. This statement must include all earnings, remuneration paid, and deductions made during the previous calendar year.

The effective date of these changes will be confirmed.
