Cameroon - Application of Finance Law 2024 tax measures relating to Personal Income Tax (IRPP) suspended

The Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze, suspended the application of the new tax measures relating to the Personal Income Tax (IRPP) contained in 2024 Finance Law.

In a letter addressed to the president of the Cameroon Business Group (Gecam), the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze wrote “I have the honor to ask you to kindly require from all companies in your group and from all employers in the private sector to suspend the application of these new provisions pending further clarification on their terms of application and implementation”.

Employers are urged to defer the application of the new provisions until further details are provided regarding their terms and implementation procedures.

As a result, the execution of these amendments will remain on hold until further details become available.
